It's just the difference between having something released, available for sale, and having something released, people wanting to buy it because they know what they are getting. Eg You wouldn't buy a new car based on some pictures if you didn't know any specs | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I find it hard to believe that this thing made it all the way to production without any kind of flow data taken or dyno numbers. One would think at this point they would have this information. What is so difficult about posting it here? What is so difficult about spinning that thing around and taking pictures of the other side? Makes me feel like there's something to hide.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Not to be a prick, or too closely echo a certain permabanned member, but where do you see that? I may have missed something, but I don't see any actual numbers or data. The section drawings are impressive looking, I just don't see any actual flow numbers or even a CFD model. I truly want to be excited for this product, just still missing a reason to be excited about it.

And before anyone says we kept rushing them, and so they just put it out for sale. After this long, if they dont have the data and have it all organized, they need to look at who is working on this project. This isnt how you release products. And @WetzMS3; you would only be echoing certain permabanned members if you focused on imperfections in the castings as your point of contention and not the lack of data or pictures. There are points worth discussing here, and then there is nit-picking.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I agree bad release. Looks like a promising mani just wish they would post some actual numbers about the thing so i can fap to em. I seen on facebook that Justin has one and will be surely posting some info up. But I can't help but feel like Justin is doing cp-e's job. Although some independent testing will be also really nice to see. Chances are if everything looks good. This will most likely be my next purchase this spring.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I think we are a bit too critical about this. The design is not bad and if the runners meet the head the way illustrated then it is an improvement over another manifold option. The velocity stack setup is decent although I feel the plenum volume could have been slightly larger. I appreciate the overall design and effort. I could not fathom this would underperform a stock manifold. The fact here is most of our setups would benefit slightly from this if not already running an upgraded manifold of some sort. I prefer my ported stocker just for the looks and ease of fitment but I also have no experience with the cpe version. It could bolt up no issue. My question for cpe is regarding how to connect the coldside piping to the throttle body. Let us all just realize 90% of ms3s are still simple street vehicles and probably over 50% still run a k04. This manifold will not be the weak link.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Still no good shot of the top. No word on tmic comparability. Rough casting of velocity stacks appears to be final product. What updated information was provided. Also lol at f1 style like every person interested in going fast since the dawn of the automobile hasn't used something similar.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Who really cares about flow numbers provided by the company selling them, it will be biased. Like Freektune said on facebook, the data that really matters in the end is from real world testing. And freek has the perfect opportunity because he has the jmf mani on now and an in-house dyno so we will see a direct comparison soon which is really nice

| Not Ranked : 0 score Dont just test a stock mani, it would be awesome to test a OEM mani with just VTCS and lump removed.

I understand why you're curious, I'm just stating that there is data out there that is close enough, so the extra effort needed to test this specifically, may not be worth it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score But if you're going to test it, it would be better to get all the data from one location; similar in theory to using a dyno, every one will read differently. Edit: I have a bone stock mani with VCTS if you want to test that one too.

I'll let you know. As of tomorrow I should have one spare IM so I can test it @ stock and then remove the lump and VCTS and then fully port it.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score In regards to the TMIC questions: When we started designing our Havoc™ Intake Manifold our main focus was on efficiency and power gains. These were the 2 aspects that the community did NOT want to sacrifice in any way, but still retain a true "bolt-on" design. In order to keep this goal we designed the Havoc™ to work directly with a FMIC as this would provide the best way to establish these end goals, power and efficiency. The smaller TMIC would not allow us to achieve these goals or give the option for a larger throttler body and have it provide any significant gains. After asking surveying the Mazdaspeed community as to what it was looking for a large majority already had a FMIC and of those that already had a TMIC or did not have an upgraded intercooler already, planned to purchase a FMIC in conjunction with the Havoc™.

| Sadly I'm out for this then, no plans to get rid of my TMIC. Still interested to see what kind of numbers come out of this.
