(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Tilt & telescopic steering wheel Issue Anybody else have a problem with the steering wheel not locking properly? I had to brake pretty hard this morning and my steering wheel collapsed forward (towards the dash) from the pressure. The wheel was locked in place, I checked, plus I had to unlock it to re-telescope the wheel. When I got to work I pushed hard on the wheel and was able to get it to collapse down.........I assume this is not right, considering no other car I have owned has ever done this. P.S. I did use search and found nothing.

| Not Ranked : 0 score That's a first I'm hearing of this. Take it to the dealer and recreate the issue for them. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm wondering how hard you are pushing on your steering wheel during hard braking. If you actually hit an object, you are likely to break both arms.

Not hard really, even a solid push of the horn can cause the wheel to shift back, kinda sucks! I had both hands on the wheel when it happened cause I was going around a big swoopy curve and the guy in front of me went in to fast and then laid on the brakes.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Derek, are you taking it to Suburban Mazda? Work with Dave Eastman at Service, not Bud or anyone else. Tell him I recommended. They will take care of it.
