Default AEM CAI MAF issue

I just installed a used AEM cold air intake system and I got my engine light on because the error P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input.

I think that the MAF is not working properly but the intake temperature was 86 and the ambient temp 82. And I so that the intake temperature went down a couple of degrees when I started driving but the light was still on.

I will try to clean the contacts of the MAF and if that doesn't work try the stock MAF but I'm not sure that it will fix the problem.

Any suggestion?

You need an air straightner in the intake. AEM first came out with the intake with no air straightner and this caused CEL. Check this first and see if this is the cause for the CEL. Also try cleaning the MAF if still having issues.

You know I got the same code when I put a Brute Force AEM on my Chevy truck. I just went through everything and made sure there were no wires that I pinched without realizing it. That was back in 2004 when I bought the truck. Haven't seen it since then. Hope that helps a bit, just go through everything. reset the ECU so the MAF can adjust to the new air flow over stock and adjust the STFT/LTFT.

Thanks! But the thing fix itself. I guess it just needed time to adjust.
