Cat delete vs resonator delete

Hey guys, I can't decide what to get or have done. I was looking for something to give my car a little bit more attitude and possibly some HP. I've found a lot of vids with the resonators deleted but on sites like SU and Corksport they sell the second cat deletes. Just wondering what would be the best fit or give the most gains. I just looking for a little of sound from the exhaust. If there is some other thread that I missed could you please post it up. I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Also, I know about getting a downpipe but I don't have the money for that right now and don't feel like voiding my warranty because of it.

getting your resonators cut out will give you the most sound. a test pipe which is replacing your second cat wont really change the sound but well give you a few hp.

Cat delete will give you sound and power. Go for a TP and one resonator delete (rearmost if you want the most sound gain-looks like a muffler).

I say keep the resonators and remove the muffler and add a test pipe that will remove the 2nd cat..You will get some more HP and it will sound great...

thanks guys for the info! I couldn't find anything while I was looking around comparing the two. I will definitely go the 2nd cat delete probably with the corksport/SU or a custom one done at a local exhaust shop...and to SharkDiver, you say remove the muffler as well? Do you happen to have a sound clip of this? I would probably just have to do the same thing at an exhaust shop with getting a custom pipe done?

Check out my youtube page here and you can hear some clips.There are some with just 1 resonator and muffler removed and another with the same setup plus a test pipe and some more..I had a local shop just weld in a 2.5" pipe to replace the muffler and the resonator.I removed the resonator at the rear that is closest to the muffler.It sounded great but when I added a catless DP it made the car a bit loud for my taste so I added a high flow cat to the test pipe and now its back to awsome again.

stay away from the corksport piece, it has fitment issues mating to the cbe if not used with their dp.

Thanks again guys for the input and to phillyb for the heads up about the corksport piece. I didn't know that. Saves me headache later. That narrows it down a bit then. I'll keep you guys updated to what I end up having done. Spend some nice birthday money on this
