Default Click click click from driveline

2008 stock with 90k miles.
When I start to move the car I hear a click and then let off the gas I hear a click. I have done circles to test the axels and they'll not click when I coast. I have held the brake pedal to test if it's the rear brakes, still makes noise. I hear that there is a tsb on the front axel nuts is this true, getting tired of the click click. Anyone else have this issue, and how was it solved?
I can't get the car to make the noise past 3rd gear.

So it only clicks once when you accelerate or decelerate? Or clicks repeatedly?

I had the clicking on accel / develop about a year and a half ago. Came from my driver side front, definitely the cv. Could be the bearing, but seemed more like half shaft. If you rock the throttle on/off while driving straight, and get the click, yours is like mine.

I have done multiple autox events since then, expecting I would very soon be towed home with a broken half shaft, but instead of it getting worse, it is no longer clicking and it still hasn't blown. It does have a bit weird feel accelerating in a turn, so it still is waiting to bite.

So what have we learned? I might have the same issue you have, my car is out to get me and I'm an idiot who is lazy and waits for catastrophic failures on non-safety essential parts to save money.

It's the drivers axle , shit clicks eventually it's not the cv joint ... Get a louder exhaust and don't sweat it

Funny you say this, I recent switched to a slightly quieter exhaust (to get rid of drone) and just noticed the clicking.

I can make it click by hitting the gas or letting off the gas. Up hills and down hills. I had the same issue starting on my old speed as well but not as bad. Only clicks a few times then stops. If I drive in second gear at a constant speed no clicks, hit the gas or let off 2 or 3 clicks.

It's normal, my speed has done it since I bought it. Gets 1000X louder with 88D motor mounts, nothing to worry about.

I got the clicks on both front axles. To fix my issues, I bought the new axle nut and I put Mollydinium (SP?) grease on the axle splines that go into the hub. Instant fix.

Tried to tighten the axle nuts, still clicks a little. I guess I will buy some new nuts and pull off the wheel and grease the spindle and re-install
