(Thread Starter) | I should be getting one of these. From information ive gotten from subbie guys, Cobb has been able to do a good job at reducing the loudness when you add a DP to the car. I know the GHL CBE on my car is quite loud and it be honest, it will only be louder when i throw on the DP. Im trying to keep the noise level down and not attract unwanted attention. As many of you know, i have complained about my catback as much as not receiving a red mazdaspeed oil cap with my car.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Typically, exhaust helps free up a smidge of horsepower, and adds some beautiful volume and tone to a stock exhaust system. But if you're paying $700+ and it doesn't even change the tone or volume at all, i'd have a hard time committing that kind of money for such a subtle mod. That and, I don't think Cobb could POSSIBLY screw this up. How hard would it be to mess up an exhaust with defective equipment?

| Not Ranked : 0 score PDXImportRacer has the Cobb prototype catless TBE, and it amazes me how quiet it is for being catless. No drone at all, its easier on the ears than the stock CBE when catless with a DP and RP. If I were to purchase a CBE, it would be the Cobb, with Corksport at a close 2nd.

| Not Ranked : 0 score My Cobb CBE is scheduled to arrive today. I ordered it from Cobb on 10/3. I now have a PG manifold, CP-e catted dp and a MS CBE. I'm also suffering from excessive noise... it just takes the fun out of it. I'd prefer minimal noise until I step on it. |

Any platform with a dual exhaust you are pretty much looking at no less than a grand for just a catback. 350z, G35 those guys have it tough-- exhausts add little to no power and go for $1500 easy. find me a Cobb part that isn't expensive. |
