HELP! Did I get the right spark plugs?

I ordered some Denso itv22's from pg. But here's the deal. I don't think I got the correct plugs. I'm attaching a picture. They don't say denso or anything on them except ITR5F13. They came wadded up in a paper towel, I assume cuz they wanted to save on shipping, they were in the same box as my brake pads. So no packaging to verify anything. They honestly look like some OEM plugs. Anyone know what the itv22s look like?

Thats weird, my friend ordered densos, and they drop shipped. They didnt come from PG at all.

Which is why PG is not an authorized vendor anymore.

I got their engine mount package (RMM, TMM, and ETD) last year. The ETD came with zero hardware. Same thing the now defunct mazda3mods was selling but in a packaged price.

Definitely get your money back. Lesson learned, don't use them anymore. Good luck.

Well I have ordered almost every after market part for my car from them... Only problem i had before was that they sent me a silver bpv instead of the black, but it was no big deal. I didn't even exchange it cuz it matches my intercooler piping Lol. We'll see what pg does to fix this

I'm only at 43k now n car is running perfect with 26+ mpg when cruisin. I won't switch them till the manual tells me (60k?) or when my car feels like it needs it.

I got them cuz I'm running higher than stock boost, and I can feel the engine bog down when I turn my lights on! Not to mention the ac....

Those definitely aren't the Densos... I'm not even sure they are the NGKs. I googled the part number and this is the picture I got for the NGK:



And what's up with those tips and gaps. Maybe it's the picture but the tips look bent and the gap is huge!

i can't think of any ngk plugs that come pregapped to .026

NGK iridium plugs are an excellent choice for our cars. See my sig below. I prefer them to Denso for many reasons, but there are two problems with the plugs PG sent:

1. They are the wrong heat range. See chart below. They are a heat range 5, which is one step HOTTER!, yikes, rather than colder, which in NGK numbering would be a 7 to be equivalent to Denso's 22. What you have is like a Denso 16!

2. Most NGK plugs come gapped pretty big and need to be regapped. Those appear to be huge. My step colder NGK's came at a whopping .045 and had to be regapped down to the .028 that I run.

Send 'em back and either get the IV 22 Denso's you asked for or correct heat range NGK's. Correct NGK # for one step colder for our engine is LTR7IX-11. Don't put those hot SOB's in your engine.

Good point... I know the right stock plug for the Speed3 would be the NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plug: ILTR6A-8G. That's what I'm running right now.

The NGKs I got came pre-gapped to .032, not sure if the reseller gapped them or if that's how they came from NGK. I'm thinking the latter. Heck even the ones listed on Street Unit are listed as gapped to .032. I of course verified the gap before installing. I wonder if the gap was screwed in shipment considering that it was in a paper towel!

Well, Ken said he's sending a set of densos to me. Not sure what happened, but I'm glad my impatience didn't get the best of me Lol. Usually I install every part as soon as it comes in... I just knew those didn't look right. And I'm not dropping pg at all. This was the first time ive had problems and Ken has always been great. They will still get more of my money Lol.

Well the replacement densos came in today! pg fixed the problem quickly!... They are Denso itv22#4.... I think/ hope they're right! Came in a denso box and everything.
