Default "Loose" Shifter

Hey Guys,

My 2007 MS3 has about 165k miles on it, and it just seems like the shifter is a little loose... not terrible, but I've tried other MS3 shifters and it def seems a bit looser.

My question is: If I get a Corksport adjustable short shifter, the short shift plate, and shifter bushings set.. would it take care of the "looseness"?? I did do some research and it sounds like maybe my bushings are going bad..??

THANKS!!!

Since we don't know what is causing the "looseness" it is impossible to tell what parts or combination of parts are needed to cure this "looseness".

The only way to resolve your problem is to get in there, inspect the shift mechanism and look for wear, damage or broken parts and then replace or adjust.

I'm just taking a stab in the dark about what is "loose". If it is the bushing being worn out, here is a creative solution. If this is not what you need, maybe it will help you think of what you need to do:

How To: Fix broken shift cable linkages.

Yeesh, check the shift cables on both ends. Shits plastic and can break. I recommend not shifting like a gorilla until you verify where the looseness is cumming from
