(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score sorry if i get flamed ive been using the search button and reading countless threads about motor mounts especially the rear. So my question is why is it so crucial to replace the rear mount as a first mod. Like how much does the car benefit from it? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score The stock mount sucks and has a tendency to break after awhile. The stiffer mount helps put power to the wheels, and helps with wheel hop. If you have a few mods and as your HP begins to climb, a stiffer tranny and passanger mount might be in order. It's a super easy install too. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score ^^^^ as budumfan says, upgraded mounts reduce wheel hop and improve shifting. go to youtube and watch the engine shake on one of those cobb sri / forge bpv videos. only negative for some people is increased vibes (i don't care). rear - easiest to replace. reduces wheel hop. strong vibes in the dash area. tranny - hardest to replace. in addition to reducing wheel hop, this is what fixed my 2-3 shift misses. vibes move up in frequency (more of a buzz) and shift down to the pedals. passenger - easy to replace. didn't notice much change. this to me was a preventitive mod. i was afraid the stocker was going to poop itself. my advice is to replace the rear and tranny mounts. if i demodded, they would be the last two items in my sig to go. they make the car much more fun to drive.

| Not Ranked : 0 score So is the best deal for mounts at PG? What about an engine damper, any noticeable difference over just the mounts? |

even though i have an upgraded passenger mount, i don't think it or an engine damper is necessary.

| Not Ranked : 0 score For $100 you can get the CP-E RMM since it's on sale right now and IMO it's the best available as well as the cheapest at the moment. |
