(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I've got an 07 speed3 getting close to 80k. I have the dogbone tranny mount, which is pretty stiff and transfers a lot of tranny noises to the cabin. My throwout bearing is loud, it kind of sounds like the engine is knocking but it completely goes away once the clutch pedal is fully pressed. So, I've researched and some say not to worry about it. My stock clutch is still good. Should I replace that throw out bearing? Am I risking anything? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score OP, just roll with it. Normal. And, yes, stiffer mount(s) make it louder. And please search before posting. While you claim to have done so, must not have read much.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Owned my 08 speed since new, has 81k on it. my throw out bearing has always done it. in fact come to think of it, every manual vehicle i've owned did it to an extent. leave it alone, save your $$. when its time to do the clutch, do the bearing too! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score If it's REALLY loud, it might be the dual-mass flywheel coming apart.
