Default Engine build or not? Any illinois shop recommendations?

Hi, with all the talk in the forum lately about people blowing motors with mods has me a little worried. I was thinking about some of the options that I have concerning that.

Option 1: Do nothing, hope for the best and be ready to spend money for a built motor if that happens.

Option 2: Put car back to stock & sell it. (can't see putting that much money into a car like this even though I really like it)

Option 3: Keep car, have the rods replaced by a reputable shop to strengthen the internals. (would be cheaper than waiting for the worst to happen)

I was thinking of doing option 2 or 3. If i did have the rods replaced what does everyone think that would cost & what else should be done to increase strength? Can this be done with the motor in the car or does it need to come out? Also, does anyone know of some reputable shops in illinois that I can get a quote? I am thinking about doing something about this to prevent a hole in my block. Any advice comments?

its alot cheaper to build first, rather than letting it blow then rebuild. i had mine done all said and done parts and all just under 3600.00 and took 36 days start to finish.(hahaha to all that said i couldnt do it for that less) but anyway hit up streetunitmark (great guy to work with) on here to get a price on all the parts. then look around for a good shop in your area. and go from there

but really i dont think ive seen many blown engine threads in recent months. and you dont have really that many mods. and lots of people are running BT with stock internals and are just fine. i ran reworked ko4 at 22 psi with no problems for like 6 months. so who really know why people blow?????
