Default 1 bar wastegate spring and boost spike,

for now i set my boost to 16psi and im getting boost spike up to 20. i know i can tune out the turbo spoolup to avoid the spike. im really trying to avoid that direction.

my question is. isnt the wastegate suppose to be ironing out the spike? i think the reason im spiking is because my boost is set too low and not giving enough time for the wastegate to iron out the spike. the wastegate starts to open at 14.5 psi. maybe if i up the boost more, the wg will have enough time to dump the excessive boost.

what do you guys think? does the wg work like that?

im also running perrin ecbs w/ ewg route.

I was thinking that the ewg would even that out as well..

Dane, whats the word with yours?

I have been and will be running a greddy spec-b boost controller on mine. Now I was talking to a guy the other day about this and he was saying since I have a greddy I can smooth that out by changing the duty cycle on it? I think he mean set gain...but I'm not sure. Anybody have any better info on this?

Edit: Why are you only running 16 psi of boost?
