1g DSM BOV working on ms3?

I was wondering if anyone has used a 1g dsm BOV on their ms3? I talked to a ms6 owner and they were using one. Just had to enlarge the holes on the dsm bov.

The discharge side and angle is perfect for the dump tube back into the intake. You would have to just get a new factory gasket from mitsu and install it after removing the oring on the stock setup.

I had used a 1g dsm bov well into the 400whp area on my 1g when I had with no issues.

what type of gasket are you all using?

This bov will hold more boost than stock. You use the mitsu gasket for the bov. They are really cheap and you can find them anywhere

I have confirmed that it can be used on speed3/6 from tests i did on couple test cars.

The holes to mount it to the pipe will need to be enlarged.

I cut some gasket material to make the gasket.

crushed holds alot more boost, sounds slighty better. Its not a loud BOV by anymeans, just a very cheap effective BOV that works just as good as any high dollar over-rated BOV you buy from the big names.


I had leak tested mine to 45psi when I had a crushed one on my Talon with my boost leak tester.

I'll try and get some vids of mine tonight when I get it installed if it doesnt snow again.

I have seen some people put it in a vice. Mine is uncrushed, and in really good shape. If anybody wants it, PM me, as i have 1 left

Mine is on, sounds alot like the stock setup, lil louder, probably a tad stiffer, doesnt blow off as easy. Good cheap mod, I can try and get some vid if the snow melts anytime soon and the roads dry up.

btw...the stock tires suck in the snow and ice. I would suggest if your in a snow prone area to get some different tires. It is outright dangerous.
