the HKS SSQ is by far the best design for the MS3/MS6 IMO

You will want a BPV and not a BOV..Alot of people like the forge bpv. Also you may want a new intake as your first mod or just do both.

I really like my Synapse Synchronic BPV. It can hold all the boost you can through at it. I'm not sure how many other people are running this set up. If you have any questions about it let me know.

I have a turbosmart dual port and really like it. It gets a lower vent sound (not like the sword fighting sound).

HKS, I also just picked up an NGR performance valve and its great as well. It sounds just like the greddy Type S. Sound clips can be found on youtube. I would say HKS if you just wanna bolt it up and not be bothered agaiin. Its the best BPV/BOV I ever owned.

LOL, why would you want a BOV for a first mod? an intake will wield you more powr, and give you the nice turbo sounds, if thats what youre looking for.

dual port which is like the hks, when the pressure is low there is a secondary valve that opens releasing the pressure, when go above a certain psi the main valve opens to release the larger amount of air. I have the hks and do not have complaints, no leaks no adjusting necessary. You put it on and forget about it. and if you want to rice out you can cap off the recirc hose and put in the infamous hks fin for that super rice sound you can annoy people with. i was looking at synapse valve but i think since that is a push type valve that it is better used on a high power engine. ive also heard some good things about teh forge piece but you gota fuck with sims and all this stuff to stiffne the spring which im not a big fan off and i think its really unncessary unless your gona put down some serious numbers or increase boost.

install, 5 minutes max if you have the big ass o ring on already. You just bolt off the stock valve and put the gasket on the new flange then bolt the valve on the intercooler. proly one of the easiest mods to install on this car besides fuzzy dice

i have def checked out the HKS and i love the sound it makes. ive also looked a little into turbosmart. now that ive done a little more research i def think my first mod would be a exhaust. im likeing borla!! i think ill prolly put some miles on the car before i do a BOV/BPV. i assume a swithching this out would void the warranty??

You have already voided the warranty by just talking about doing mods to it!

Depends on how your dealer acts. My dealer doesn't give a shit. As long as your not going past the valve covers and you don't expect them to warranty your aftermarket parts. I would also go with an intake first. There are no real gains to be had with a CBE and with an intake you get the turbo induction noise and the stock BPV makes a lot of noises for a stock BPV. So its a two fold improvement. You will pick up gains anywhere from 15-20 to the wheels and you will get all sorts of fancy noises to boot.

is the turbosmart dual port bov hard to keep maintained? I would keep it on 100% recirc so would I just be better off waiting for the review of the turbosmart bpv?

hks + fmic = cutting the recirc hose. really any valve and fmic will require a new recirc hose

The HKS sounds like a huge bird moaning in heat, and it looks like a robotic titty.

Original Poster:

Please for the love of God, get an INTAKE first. Then get the HKS or Forge BPV. Don't even consider a catback exhaust, it'll give you about 3-4 more Hp. If your gonna do exhaust, either do a race-pipe or a full turbo back. The cat-back alone is for sound only. If you insist on having a loud car, save some cash by deleting the resonators.

If you are looking for sound and performance, get a corksport full length intake. This will let you hear that turbo whine and the stock bypass valve.
