Boost Controler Question

I just installed a manual boost controler on the car. I have full TBE and MS CAI. When i set the boost it was little too much so i turned it down. If i go WOT at like lesss than 3k RPM i will hit fuel cut. I DONT HAVE ATP FCD. But when i Go WOT at 3500 or 4000 RPM it does not happen. The thing that concerns me is the car is holding 15 PSI Solid up to 6500 RPM. When i was stock it used to drop to 11-10 psi or less. Is this safe on the car? I'm not hitting any fuel cut or anything. It is solid 15 -16 psi up to redline.


Mods are TBE and CA. Thats it.

If you dont have a BCD or a MAP Clamp, than youre hitting boost cut. Means youre spiking over 18 psi. This is a very bad choice to be upping the boost without a Map Clamp or a BCD.

The thing is i'm not hitting fuel cut when i punch it at 3500-4k. If i punch it at less than 3500 than i will hit fuel cut. I want to know if is it bad to hold 15-16 psi all the way to redline?

Its not fuel cut.. its BOOST cut. meaning, your are exceeding 18 psi and the computer is saying NO. You need to clamp the map sensor to fool the computer into thinking its 16 psi.

Ok. It happend once. But why am i not hitting boost cut when the car is 15-16 psi and rpm is at 6500? Is it safe for the car to run 15-16 psi to redline? I'm not hitting any boost cut.



How does the boost cut feel? When it happend to me , the car jerked.

Thats what boost cut is.. computer closing the wastegate on you as a failsafe.
