Default Boost Fluctuation under WOT

Just recently I have felt my cars boost fluctuating under WOT and was able to capture a log of what has been going on. I haven't made any changes besides resetting the ECU (battery disconnect) when changing out the battery. I'm not sure what's going on and I have done some research and it seems it could either be the EBCS which I have replaced a year ago with a Grimmspeed EBCS or my wastegate.
I have checked all the tubes running to the wastegate and the COBB TIP and they are on there snug. I have the EBCS running in 2 port mode with the 3rd port capped per Grimmspeed. Can someone shine some light on what could be going on here please.

Also, I took my car off Stage 1 tune and have it running stock and am not going WOT or really even driving it until I can get this figured out. Thanks!

Log - 4th -6th gear WOT

Was it doing any of this before on the same map?

i just started tuning a kid with a very similar thing going on. I cant visually inspect the car, but i can triple checked the map and it isn't that. this just adds to my suspicion of something mechanical. if the wastegate was faulty would it still work correctly on spring pressure? is there really a way to check it? i havent looked into that yet

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been getting ready for a wedding.

No, it was not doing it before on the same map. I really think it has to do something with the Grimmspeed EBCS but I can't exactly pinpoint why or how. I emailed Grimmspeed and they say to degrease it and blow it out with a air compressor. I'm not sure how that will fully help but I guess I need to give it a shot.

In 2 port mode, I don't believe Grimmspeed instructs you to cap anything on either the solenoid or the wastegate actuator.

If you can get a high pressure source (compressor etc) to the wga, you should be able to see the wg arm move freely @ around 10 psi.

The actuator arm will start moving at about 10 psi and should fully extend by 18. Max movement is only about 1/2". Be sure to use a pressure regulator and set no higher than 20 psi. If you use pressure higher than that you risk rupturing the actuator diaphragm.

I'll be sure to take it to the local shop and have them test this out since I don't have the tools to do so. He's a family friend so he never minds doing some quick tasks...

Thanks

OP, there shouldn't be any caps on anything when running the Grimmspeed in 2 port mode.

That being said, it looks as if you are overboosting pretty heavily, and the solenoid is correcting it.

That is where the boost oscillations are occuring from.

^Agree completely. EBCS doing its job, but the true fix is in tweaking the tune.

I have my unused ports (2 port mode) capped just to keep dirt out. No effect on function.
