(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score ![]() but I have a TXS FMIC on its way to my house. I've researched a little on the whole BPV/BOV/hybrid issue, but I cannot decide on what to get.I'm leaning towards the HKS SSQ V2 b/c of not having springs and not being prone to leaks b/c of the design. If I do decide to get this, will I have to get the adapting plate since I am using it with a FMIC? I've also looked at the TXS and the new Synapse- which seems to be a great way to go as well. Or should I cut more holes in my piping and run one of each? ![]() If you had this decision to make, which would you choose and why? Thanks

| Not Ranked : 0 score Turbosmart. This is simply the best on the market. How do I know this, becaue I have taken off more HKS, Greddy, Turbo XS units then I even care to talk about. Everything from stripped adjuster screws to cracked housings. Turbo smart is not new to the market and they are expensive, but you pay for what you get and quality is by far more important then saving a few dollars on an inferior part. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Will the HKS fit with a Cobb SRI??? I was going to order the Forge BPV cuz I read its a good replacement for the stock BPV and a LOT cheaper than the HKS SSQ..but I orginally wanted the HKS SSQ

| Not Ranked : 0 score i like the hks. granted its annoying and loud on my other car because it is open vented, but recirculated probably isn't as bad. i was sold on the synapse until i read in a thread there were a few people having issues with them. i like the no hassle of the pull-type valves though, so as long as you get a good one, i would pick those over a traditional piston type any day.

| Not Ranked : 0 score i'm sure you will. i think it's honestly too early to tell, as there isn't a mass majority running these yet....and right now for the most part they seem to be performing decently. i'm just happy there are bolt on options. i've had other applications where it required welding work and/or fabbing a flange and etc, definitely no fun. i just know to stay away from the greddys. the type R is sweet, but the S and RS have broken on me and leaked and other stuff. piston design just seem to not have the longevity...unless it's a stock unit....DSM BOVs are probably one of the best valves out there. need more boost? crush it.
