CAT DELETE WITHOUT HPFP UPGRADE??

I have just recently purchased the turbo xs catback and it is not loud enough for my taste. I want to delete the second cat purely for sound. I do not drive this car as many members do, I "baby" the vehicle. I am just curious if deleting the cat will require a hpfp upgrade. I am planning to do it in the future but not at the current time. I have searched and could not find a definitive answer.Thanks for any helpful comments

stock tune... with SRI TIP & Test Pipe...FP holds well above 1600 when WOT...you are prolly ok...I got internals ordered tho just to be safe

The only way to know for certain is to perform some 4th gear WOT logs to see if you are dipping below 1600.

Removing the secondary cat will make little difference soundwise. If the catback has a resonator and you are not satisfied with the sound, then delete the resonator.

Try it and log fuel pressure. If you can keep FP above 1600PSI, then you'll be fine. If not, then you need internals. If you plan on doing it later, why wait? You're only putting yourself at unnecessary risk. I maxed out my OEM internals with nothing but an HTP 3" intake on E15 at 16PSI and 16° of timing advance at redline.

Have upgraded my fuel pump internals, want to delete my cat cause I have a resonator and muffler delete and I want it louder. Can I do this without an accessport or tune? Thanks! I plan on getting the accessport in a couple months just want the cat delete for now. Thanks for the responses

Yes it will make you louder. A race pipe or test pipe are exactly the same thing as deleting the cat, except it bolts in instead of welding.
