| Not Ranked : 0 score I asked this question in the gen2 intake sticky. I was curious if I could install it without the mount because I've heard others say it could break due to engine movement. Maybe you can buy just that piece from cobb |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I am running mine with a custom tip and it is loose. I don't notice and problems. Is there any long term effect or performance impact? Sent from my HTC EVO 4G.

| Not Ranked : 0 score ^^^ i wouldn't install the cobb sri mount with a stock tip (connected to engine) and stock engine mounts. that being said, your safe as kittens since you upgraded both.

| Not Ranked : 0 score This has been going on since day one. I would personally sell that pos cobb sri and get something better. There is no reason why you should have to run without the mount or buy the tip which is most likely bullshit also. Really, cobb refuses to do anything about this and several other hard part issues they've had. Ive ran a cobb sri without the mount for I dont even know how many miles, and between cracked housings and bent air fins ive had several replacment sris from cobb. The mount will always break but did not cause any other issues. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score they did adjust the sri after its initial release... rubber spacers now separate the actual intake from the bracket, allowing some movement i just took the sri bolts off and used some zipties to allow some movement but keep it relatively stationary |
