Default Compressor map analysis - GTX3071R 31PSI - to do or not to do?

I remember that a few years back when I moved to GTX3071R and I was asking here and there what are the capabilities of this turbo pretty much everybody was telling me not to boost past 26PSI..
I was boosting up to 25PSI on the factory block so I couldn't really understand why 26PSI was the limit, while the alternative for more power seemed to be a GTX3076R which for the setup I'm running (100% emissions and noise compliant) would have a horrible spool.

So in the last year (2017) I was trying to extract the best possible out of this setup with the hardware I have on the car (the limiting factors here being the stock IM which still has both VCTS and EGR), factory EM and the Mazda turbo flange.

So I thought I should do my analysis on the last log I took for the 60-100mph/96-160kmph run (3.92s) back in October (12-13C/54-55F ambient).

After I overlapped the graphs I found a stunning fact: the working line for the turbo is actually closer to the surge line than to the choke line, and pretty close around the maximum efficiency island.

Towards the top end the turbo gets closer to the choke line and I can feel (from the driver's seat) that between like 6700-7150 (where the rev limit is set at now) that the power band kind of tappers.
But I'm ok with that as I can go full kill between 4000 and 6500rpm and not rev up to 7100 unless it's really necessary or doesn't worth changing up a gear.

So here is are the overlapped GTX3071R gen1 compressor map overlapped with my graph. I also attached the .xls file to this post for further reference and analysis if there's anyone who wants to add more valuable data to this post and enlighten us a bit.

At this point I'm debating of I should aim for 30PSI sooner (like 5300-5500rpm) and for 31PSI also sooner, like 6000rpm and see where everything lands.
The tune is load based with boost limits in place, so all the load adjustments I'm making are done with the boost limits in mind, as hitting boost cut is not good. I guess I'll also have to turn the Guardian Angel dial a notch up as now it's set at 31-ish PSI just to make sure I can play just fine at 30-30.5.

At this point it's pretty clear that the required boost to move 420-425-ish pump gas g/s of air (the MAF cal is scaled down 10% for meth, and this is accounted for in my lb/min graph plotting) is so high because of the resistance that the factory IM has. The factory Ex Mani/Mazda OE flange still seem to have a bit of room to play with though.
