| Not Ranked : 0 score ^ Then don't. This is a hell of a deal, but you need to set yourself some plans as far as modding is concerned. It's too easy to set a plan and deviate when a good deal comes up, but you will end up spending more money in the long run if you do that. Develop a game plan, stick to it, and don't get distracted. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Its a nice high quality piece, ill give them that. I don't think it will perform any better that other TMIC's though. That is not a bad thing, I just dont expect people to be ditching ets or anything anytime soon. CP-E have a winner though as long as there price is $350. After that, its just great competition.

| Not Ranked : 0 score By releasing this TMIC now at a great price cp-e made a masterful business decision. Not only are they the first out the three main Mazdaspeed suppliers to release a TMIC but the low introductory price made sure that people would buy now instead of waiting. By the time SURE and Corksport come out with their TMICs the pent up demand will have been satisfied. In essence they made more money due to volume instead of a large markup. I predict that once the price goes up to $599 the other TMICs will be more popular because it'll difficult to justify a 20% price premium for this TMIC especially when the performance gains over stock will be similar across all aftermarket TMICs. Anyway... Thanks cp-e. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score never even thought about getting a new tmic but this price and the quality of cpe was a no brainer. If anything, once i part out my car i really won't lose too much on the tmic. I guess I have to wait a bit longer for my hpfp and install everything at once.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Ordered mine! Can't wait to get! Also.. to those that were still wondering about the 20% winter coupon, the introduction flash screen that shows the 'WINTER' code now shows: "HPF pump, TMIC, and xflex side mounts not included in sale. US customers only." The TMIC part wasn't there yesterday, so I guess that's the reason the coupon code is not working anymore. Still a great deal. Was gonna pull the trigger on the ETS one, but I can't pass up this deal. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I've got the autoexe TMIC... so yeah stop bitchin' about the price, I would've gotten the cpe straight up if it would've been available three years ago. I wonder what the effect on the airflow and IC temps is with the aluminium shroud compared to the situation with the oem plastic shroud. I ran my AE with an aluminium shroud like the CP-e one but switched to the oem shroud to keep the setup as stealth as possible (damn you technical inspections). The oem shroud does look like it maximizes flow through the core but I wonder if it's relevant. Do you guys plan on making a technical paper on this like you did for the FMIC? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score so got a question for the cp-e guy..first let me say i think your company is great and love the idea that all your products have a lifetime warranty..but looking at your intercooler has me concerned about something i noticed the tabs that hold the intercooler to the stock location are "screwed" into the intercooler core...so let me explain something that happened to alot of people (including myself) who purchased the street unit tmic during 2009 - early 2010...alot of their tabs that bolts to the stock location had snapped or cracked due to stress and movement on the motor...so whats to reassure people who purchased this product that the movement and stress the motor creates will not strip the screws out of the intercooler? i also drove on the stock motor mounts up until recently and have always noticed the ram air duct rubbing which creates a black ring on the heat shield that goes around the intercooler due to motor movement ...so obviously their will be a lot of tugging and hitting going on under the hood which could defiantly lead to striping of these screws i am sure you have done extensive research and have tested your product fully...but i would just hate to see an issue like that happen to people again..so any reassurance would be great...thanks |

But since the two faces mate (the brackets and the intercooler) together with a large surface and then being held down by screws, it is a much stronger method than a tab welded to the side of the tanks. And stripping shouldn't happen unless you don't put the screws in all the way or they back out (use loctite) (also don't over-tighten since its cast aluminum). All those problems can be taken care of with a rear motor mount. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score What power increase would one expect with a better IC? With DSMs a larger IC from a Supra (or better) was a common mod, but the OEM DSM ICs were tiny compared to the MS3's. Would a Hypertech map be able to handle the change? It's be nice if it fit under the stock cover for the stealth look at smog inspection time but it shouldn't be that hard to swap back to stock for smog inspection. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Thats one of the benefits of a TMIC. Takes no more than 10 mins to swap out. I believe I have seen some people with ETS TMIC's use the OEM cover, but most people choose not too.

| Not Ranked : 0 score more pics...gonna get it on the car this afternoon hopefully. I think the fact that the mounting tabs are bolted is a better engineered design personally.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for the pics. Can't wait to see this thing installed! So, I'm guessing that we have to bolt our oem outlet/tb pipe to the tmic?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Great question cp-e engineered those to be CNC billet pieces that bolt to the core for a reason. After testing various other designs and breaking some stuff - cp-e figured this was the way to go as the bolt on, CNC billet alum brackets have yet to be broken from testing
