did your 4" inlet have a MAF sensor or should I assume you were speed density?

we went with the 3.25" ID MAF housing and 3.5" tubing due to idle quality issues when going larger
plus the step up from OEM to 3.25" will support plenty for flow/power production

not to mention, getting more than 3.5" in the OEM turbo location would be next to impossible lol

Ok, I'm a noob so don't hurt me...=)

Curious to what the benefits you're expecting from this? And possibly what is the reasoning to do this? I read somewhere I believe that the OEM MAF is just so small that it cant keep track of all the air being pulled in, getting a less accurate reading? So I'm assuming this is only beneficial for you crazy insane hardcore big turbo guys? Or would this benefit a stock MS3/6 also, if this would be their fit mod? Other then that, yes I understand, I believe, that the ECU would need to be tuned for the bigger MAF, right?

Kinda contradicted myself with my comment with being stock vs having to tune for the MAF...But I'm too lazy to change it! =)

Since I was full stand alone I did have a maf but it was just ziptied under the battery haha I was completely maf based so running a 4" inlet was just as good as no inlet at all. but I also had a 4" opening on the cold side of my turbo so that's why I went 4".

you need to scale the maf output for that size intake.

I am going to assume that CPE is going to copy this and retail it with a MAF tune for those of us who don't have 72 hours in every day to do whatever we want to our cars... =)

Do you know if CPE has any plans to use any sort of flash tuner for those of us who would rather not rent a car for a week?

+1, though, highly unlikely.

I honestly don't know
I do think they are going to offer a large MAF housing + flash but the intake for my car was made for my set up
it honestly wouldn't fit with any other set up unless it was identical to mine

this thing is a cp-e, whoosh, JM fab creation
now Bonehead Perf. as well as they just powder coated it

I'll have pics up of the final install this weekend

cp-e is at SEMA for the balance of the week so a good answer will probably have to wait until next week sometime

I'm sure as new turbo set ups are released and more people have other than stock turbos, a large MAF housing will be available from cp-e as the need will be there....

Yeah, I wouldn't mind going with a 3" maf in the cold pipe. I'm putting together peices to try it with 2.75" to mate up with tm-la-ic I have to see how it reacts.
