Dropped copper washer near oil restrictor bolt

So I was installing my JBR oil restrictor bolt this morning. Everything was going well, I was trying to reach in and get the bottom crush washer when it slipped out of my fingers and disappeared into the abyss. It made a metallic noise as it landed and I could not find it anywhere.

I put the new washers in, tightened everything back up, put the car back together again and the car is running fine.

Question(s), Would it have been possible for the washer to slide into the crease marked in the photo?
Is that the turbo? if so, surely there would not be gaps in the turbo wide enough for a washer to slip in?
If it did slip into the turbo, would I have noticed something by now?

Please help me put my mind at rest!

The spinning bits of the turbo are 100% contained under normal conditions. You're fine

If there were gaps in the turbo for things to fall into and damage the internals of the turbo, those gaps would also be letting air out, and it would just be a massive leak and worthless turbo.

As long as the boost tube, intake, exhaust mani, and dp are bolted, tight and secure, nothing should ever be getting "in" the turbo.

Also, you installed the bolt on the turbo, but then don't know where the turbo is in the picture?

Yes I realised after I posted it that I made myself look a dick by asking if it was the turbo! I knew it was the turbo but I was thinking along the same lines as you. How can this be the turbo if it has gaps like this.
It really looked as though it did fall into that gap, but now I'm thinking it must have just rolled down somewhere else in the engine bay.

I'm always amazed at where dropped things can end up. The hardest I had was dropping ratchet wrench with extension in place, hearing it bounce around, was sure it ended up on my Al Corsport skip plate..... After much time, it had bounced off the front of the engine (and various other things) gone thru the radiator fan, and rested in the bottom of the shroud. Probably one of the only places that could cause damage. I don't think there are any moving parts back there to cause problems.

Just had to add this, if it did manage to get in the turbo somehow, it would probably be an entertaining, catastrophic, failure.... :-)

I was out in the garage earlier tonight with my flashlight and I think it rolled into the exhaust manifold heat shield, or whatever that heatshield is to the bottom left hand side of the turbo.
