Default EBCS clicking...

I tried searching and only found one relevant thread and it didnt really answer the question. When I turn the key over the EBCS constantly clicks and is doing it at idle as well. I seem to be having an issue with the car holding boost as well.

My questions is, is the clicking normal or does this indicate a failing or bad solenoid?

How long have you had the EBCS in? Make sure there no boost/vac leaks, it's all connected up correctly and don't mount it on the firewall.

The grimmspeed EBCS clicking is loud and annoying when you mount it on the firewall. Post logs @ idle and while driving

Is it mounted close to your firewall? the solenoid will click (duh, it's a solenoid) but if you mount it on your battery tray away from the firewall you won't hear it.

Well if it's louder than when you first got to car and you are having trouble holding the same boost levels as before, then that would point to the fact that something is dying inside it.

Swap it out for someone else's and see if problems/sound goes away. That will pinpoint if the stock ebcs is taking a dump.

Be careful pulling the hoses off the OEM EBCS.

The plastic is famous for being brittle and the nipples breaking off very easily.
