Okie dokie, so for a while i was running VTA on the blowoff valve, and the boost solenoid was dumping to atmosphere.

So I finally finished up my inlet. I tapped it for a barb to connect the boost solenoid to. JB weld ensures it will stay in since the pipe is rather thin.

I also took the inlet to Competition Race Parts, and had them weld a fitting on it to recirculate my HKS valve, which, by the way, does make the car run MUCH better, the cars drivability is increased GREATLY. He wasnt too happy with the "prettiness" of the weld. The pipe was painted, and then the paint was grinded off. he said while welding it it would spit back on him because the paint trapped in the aluminum. Anyways, i think it looks great for being an aluminum weld, but I also saw some of his other aluminum work, and it was very pretty, so im sure he was onto something with the paint.

Anyways, I got it home, and painted it up. I blindly picked a color that i thought was a match for the cobb powdercoating, but it was much darker. I dont mind, it looks great IMO.

Alright, some pics. Im sure ill come up with some more stuff. All in all, this intake cost me just shy of $250. I had to relocate the battery, which was about $125, the alu tube was $60 (IIRC), the welding was $30, etc.

Very clean except for that ECU flopping around in the engine bay, unsecured to anything. When are you gonna come back and fix that?!

Im using the standback.

I have the boost source right off the turbo. it goes to a .045¨ restrictor pill. From there, it goes to a T. The t´s go to both the wastegate, and the boost solenoid.

What part of the T goes to the solenoid .045" is probably too big, .039" worked best for me

The .045" restrictor fit perfectly into the 1/4" brass T - then the tubing slipped over it to hold it in

not sure - I know people have had different luck with different size restrictors on the same size turbo - I guess you just have to experiment with it but .045 is probably a good place to start

i think .045" is the generic "good size"

depending on what you use, you can make a range of pill sizes work (such as the standback)
