Default Forge BPV V1 Flutterering STILL

Is there something else that will cause a forge BPV v1 to "flutter" instead of the normal "sword clash" beyond not being lubed right and/or having the wrong spring/shim?

I don't remember exactly when my BPV started to flutter instead of making the correct sound, but it either happened gradually enough to where I didn't notice immediately, or happened a while ago and I forgot about it. When I originally installed the part, I used a standard chassis grease to lube it. It worked great and made the right sound, but I don't think it was meant to be used in a BPV, so I'm guessing it eventually stopped being effective. Last week I took the BPV apart, cleaned it, then re-lubed with a synthetic brake caliper grease. It wasn't my first choice for lube, but it had a great heat range (far beyond what the BPV would see) so it seemed like it'd work great. That didn't fix it, though, so I tried changing out my blue spring to blue spring + 1 shim, red + 0, and yellow + 0. All produced no change and the BPV still fluttered.

Anything I'm missing? I've done some searching and only found people saying to re-lube or try new spring combos. Mods in sig if needed (stock TMIC setup).

Make sure you don't have the plunger installed upside down.

Clean, relube with some mobile one grease or white lithium can work to.

Make sure your O-Rings are in place and in good shape.

Run blue spring with no shim to start.

Quick update for anyone who has experienced this before and might still be working on it; the culprit was the worm-clamp on the intercooler-to-throttle-body hose being broken. It would tighten to a certain amount, then "break" back a few notches if you tightened it further (beyond hand-tight). Replaced the clamp, tightened it with a ratchet, and viola - problem fixed.
