Default FMIC HIGH BATS

Hello all Lex and I are in the process of tuning my newly installed BNR S3 but my Bats do get kinda toasty in the 140+ range this is on a baseline map with just 2 pulls after the car warmed up I have a CXracing Core with PG piping.Do keep in mind I live in south Florida and its hot as fuck down here anything you guys recommend for lower my bats or dose this florida wheather have me beat here are some logs.Any help would help I have had this turbo installed for 2 weeks now and going nowhere slow.BTW I have already taken 3 hours and taken off the front bumper Friday night and pressure tested the pipes to test for leaks none found IC has dings but no leaks.Honestly I think the fucking stock sensor is in a really bad place to being with.

Spray the IC itself with Meth or water? Or go meth injection. Or find another way to lower engine bay temps maybe.

Or a bigger IC core.

Only ideas I can think of. I have no knowledge of how the car behaves in Florida, but those are the only simple ways I can think of to lower the BATs.

I am I'm AZ, and cruising with the cxracing core, I pull around 130-140 for my bats, WOT goes to around 115-120, that was before meth. Meth will drop you to low 60s/high 50s in the lovely heat lol. Should have my ap back Monday and can post a log before and after meth.

Edit, you should be colder than me. My IATs are like 108 right now and you're a good 10° below me lol

Check the cold pipe, it might be getting heatsoaked. I have this problem as well, but have done a few things to help. If your cold pipe is getting heatsoaked its from the main radiator hose, and I think also from the fan blowing hot ass air on the cold pipe.

I zip tied the rad hose so it's further away from the cold pipe, but my cold pipe still gets pretty hot. I also wrapped most of it in fiberglass heatwrap but it didn't seem to help much. It's frustrating because the hot pipe will be only be a little warm, and the IC will be cold, but then the air gets heated up right before it goes back into the motor from the cold pipe. I think I need to find a new rad hose or something to route it better.

It could also be because of the tiny cxracing core I have heard it isn't very effective.

TIG on the intake manifold will help reduce the intake manifold heat soaking. Staying out of boost before the log will help.

just tappa it in...

This! I just remembered that. Typically the radiator hose sits directly on the cold pipe (FMIC) going to the throttle body. I just flipped it around. It gave me the room I needed. I had BAT issues when the radiator hose hit the cold pipe.

I live in plantation aswell and my temps bever get that hot. Id say average at the end of a multi gear pull is upwards of 120ish* but generally in the 115* area. (Without any meth) @Roddiy;
Who lives in s.fla as well has a cxracing core so im sure he can post up some numbers.
I will say thou if you search around the site you will see ALOT of threads on that specific core and how it is for the lack of better terminology... Not adequate at producing good results for our cars.

Treadstone is just south of us in cutler ridge. Might make sense to head down there and pick up a tr8 or a tr6 at the very least. Either will run you less then $250

Also if you are refering to the sensor in the front of your car by your fmic that's the outside temp gauge.

Replace CXracing IC with TR8 and you'll be happy - I did the same thing and BATs dropped ~30F across the board on WOT pull.

Rather than mess with cutting and rigging the tr8 I went with the ultimate racing front mount. Looks extremely clean. Damn expensive though we shall see how it turns out
