Default fmic sizes

Im looking to buy a fmic right now, i found a local one for a good price but thought it might be a bit small. It is 2.5 x 27.5 x 7.

currently have autotech internals, ap v3, rmm, cai and will soon be looking to run with max bolt ons for a year or 2 then go big turbo, but I don't want to re buy any parts along the way.. how much hp do you think this size intercooler would be good for?

thanks

it is not just a matter of hp but also about how you will use it. You can have a very efficient at cooling IC that create a larger pressure drop. (good for lapping /autocrossing) Or one with less temperature difference allowing less pressure drop for quick road wot or short boosting time...

To add to Jeff, the construction of the core also matters quite a bit. A CX racing core is a decent size, but shit for design and construction.

Depending on your power goals, FMIC may be entirely unnecessary anyway.

thanks, pressure drop is 0.2-0.5 at 15psi and 2-5 at 35psi, not sure the construction of the core.

it's currently a daily that i want to bring to the track occasionally
