chris's car is a freak... i dont think there is anybody with a tbe on the forums who doesnt get a little smoke, or ALOT of smoke from turbo seals that start to leak. His doesnt have a whiff. its uncanny.

plus ive driven multiple ms3s and his car doesnt feel on par. hes the only guy I know whos driven my car with a gt30 and been like ......meh....lol His car just isnt typical.

I think these smoking turbos lose power. I know weve had that debate, but my numbers on the stock turbo were kinda low.... and I was smoking like a fiend at the end. I think it was the stock turbo. We see lots of inconsistency with power on the dynos and on the track and the easiest way to account for that is the turbo imo. Ive speculated on this for a while and its the best I can do, but it accounts for some of the other guys lower numbers on higher boost. Id like to see a comparison of power, psi, and quantity of exhaust smoke. I think there is something to that.

you have a point there. I would love to get a full TBE to see if I smoke at all. If Chris decides to go CPE TBE ill buy his setup in a heartbeat Like he said at CPE, it could be how he changed the oil 3 times before the 1500 mile mark or w/e he mentioned. My first was at 1k and I definitely saw some particles that didn't belong in an oil change.

You know whats bizarre? After i installed my fmic, the smoking has stopped. Wtf over?

Theres always one or two people with factory freaks. Its like today, i found out that ms3's shipped to puerto rico dont come with the red ms oil cap.. you know, my car didnt come with that either.. I think i have a PR car.

you know, when i was doing the fmic install, i poked my head around there looking at the pcv setup and had absolutely no time to even do anything about it. There very little working room in there ill tell ya that.
