Huh, Well I would be a fool to discount your input on this, you've dealt with this mani more than anyone else. Looking at it from that perspective, shaped like that, with a good portion of the heat along the outer radius, proly tries to uncurl like a bourdon tube. but the mani brace/stays are set to limit that... My bracket may end up limiting motion in a way that adds a twist..

Ok, take your word for it

On the crack topic, what else can I do to minimize that risk, I know it was an issue on the V1, how can I mitigate?

when I got mine, ( ordered about 3 mos ago from the SSautochrome site. Told it was made in georgia to order )
the flange was warped enough it wasn't going to seal without work. rather than resurface, I chose to split it, as seen on other tube mani's. rather than just down the middle thru the stud holes, I cut it the way the OEM is split, sparing the holes. some internal stress was relieved for sure, bit of a sproing haha not real bad, mebbe a millimeter displacement.
I don't have a pic on the phone, Ill post one when I get home

Thanks for the heads up!
