(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Heat Soak No Boost Got stuck in stop and go traffic on the highway. Was barely moving for around 30 minutes. It was around 75 degrees outside. Car never overheated. But I did notice after about 15 minutes of sitting there I Began to smell something similar to burning metal. I could not get pulled over quick enough and by the time I had the opportunity we were past the accident on the highway. So I got up to normal speeds and drove the 15 minutes to my sons school. Left school, hit highway and no boost. WTF! Should have cooled off by then right? I'll pop the hood today and check the obvious. Car only has 80k. Just got this thing! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score It's very hard to say what happened based on this anecdotal description of the event. I would suggest logging next time you're in a similar situation so that you have some data to review.

Full vacuum setup w/ VTA for over pressure. PERM #1 -> DM OCC V1 -> DM PCV valve -> Check Valve -> Intake Manifold. PERM #2 -> DM OCC V2 w/ VTA -> Check Valve -> Tee -> Valve Cover & TIP. The others: 2009 BMW 135i - N54 - JB4 w/ backend flash \ SRI. 1998 VW GTI VR6 - 248k miles (stock clutch!) when wrecked (not my fault)  1995 Jeep XJ - 4.0 - AW4 \ Lift/Tires etc. 230k miles. Rust bucket / winter beater. 1995 Honda del sol VTEC - DIY hodge podge turbo setup \ self tuned w/ Neptune. 2550lbs ~270whp \ 150k+ miles on stock bottom end (4th clutch though) \ knock limited on 93 octane. |
