(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score the vendor isn't replying to my emails for some reason, and I need some info asap.. 1) I have replaced the banjo bolt on the K04 with smaller diameter one to combat smoke. Now I'm installing the S3. Can I keep the smaller hole bolt or do I need to find original one? If so, and if I can't find it, what specs of banjo bolt do I need for the S3? 2) The turbo management - K04 had two nipples on the wastegate actuator, one going to turbo vacuum, one to the EBCS I think. The new S3 only has one nipple. Does that mean that I need a T splitter to connect the original ECBS? 3) Do I need a restrictor pill if I use OEM EBCS? If so, what specs? Damn, how could I miss all these questions earlier... Thanks guys!! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score There's info in this thread you should look at. Especially if you have a v2. New BNRS3 Housing The bnoon bolt should work fine as I was once told by Bryan to use it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The bnoon bolt restricts oil. Being as oil is what lubricates the turbo and keeps it from imploding, you should use the correct banjo bolt(oem) to ensure it receives the correct amount of oil. On the k04 the restriction is a "bandaid" fix to combat leaking seals(less oil means that it wont push past the seals as easily) using the banjo on the bnr means you are essentially starving the turbo of oil for no reason. As for boost control, Im almost sure you need to upgrade to a 3 port system. Oem waste-gate actuator has a boost reference at the bottom and the bcs goes to the top, with the bnr putting a "t" on the line to your oem controller means that you will be introducing boost directly into it on a port that is not meant for direct boost.

| Not Ranked : 0 score ^ is correct about the stock bolt vs bnoon. I wouldn't have mentioned it though hadn't Bryan said to use it. Before you do so, I would get confirmation directly from Bryan though. What was good for one may noT be good for another. now with three times the hate
