Default hks ssqv rebuild

So I had a genuine hks bov laying around from my old evo, but I wanted a black version to match the ms3 engine bay. So I decided to order a 20 dollar chinese knock off, and swapped the internals. Took about 15 minutes to swap the plunger, diaphram, spring, and seals/bearings. The performance and reaction time is night and day and only.requires a crescent wrench, glasses screwdriver, allen key, and a press (can be substituted for a c-clamp). So if you have a genuine hks bov and want to swap the outer shell, or just hqve a marred ans scratched old valve, it a cheap and super effective alternative to to spending well over 200 bucks. Ill keep you guys updated on reliability, but so far the performance is incredible compared to the original knock off internals. I will note I machined down the valve shaft guide as the knock offs dont allow the valve.to open as far, but its not necessary. Just take your time, and have fun!
