OEM BPV spring tried to escape thru the side of the BPV. Only noticed boost down, but drove it home without boost or further incident. It naturally threw a lean idle CEL, but that's all.
Have new on order, but my question is this. If I get it sealed without the spring, is it safe to drive gently until new arrives? Is there a better safe option? I need the wheels...

Thanks very much for the reply. I have the new one covered, but in the mean time, can I drive it (gently), if I seal up the broken one without the spring in it?
It will vent all the time, right? If I stay out of boost, will that make the ECU screw anything else up?

maybe a local has a used one laying around you could borrow for a few days, check your nator section

I wouldent risk it. Might turn a quick fix into something major. You can rent a car for a few days for fairly cheap

Actually went with epoxy. Held until new one got here. Thanks for the help.
