woah tbolt clants are AWFUL and terrible the normal worm gear clamps I use hold way better than t bolt clamps, t bolts just bend and mis shape the pipes without holding.

the ones you need are like these, and you want to buy 3" clamps for 2.5" pipe

SURE Motorsports 3.00" Stealth Clamps

they are wider thicker and stronger than your normal worm gear clamps and you can get them TIGHT

also you should be able to find this locally

that 3" clamp will likely work all the way down to 2.25"

I use these clamps on all of my connections they can even me tightened with an impact gun they are that strong ( i dont recommend doing so or going ham with an impact) but I do use a small electric impact to snug mine up sometimes, you will see the tail end of the worm gear cock to the side and offset a bit when its really tight instead of staying parallel

lol. Worm drive clamps hold better than t-bolts. That's a 1st.

What the hell are those crappy t-bolts doing on Mazda's newest Skyactiv race car? SteetUnit could have hooked them up!

it doesnt have to be SURE they just happened to have them

I have never ever had one come loose, its just the first place I know who sells them. Sure dont make them ... they just resell

I am trying to think of the brand name well let me just go out to my car and see if i can find the brand but yes T-Bolt clamps suck they just damage shit, people are just having a fit because I linked street unit

All I know is if you buy clamps from home depot they are thin, they strip out, and dont hold for shit

T bolt clamps are too easy to over tighten, they dont form a true circle when you use them and they cost allot more and weigh more for 0 benefit but bending your pipes

ALSO very noteworthy look at my last line in my original response where i said He should be able to find them locally .... noone said go buy them from SURE ....

I will say this.. it is nearly impossible to over tighten worm gear clamps, they strip the gear before they break stuff... I had a friend break the inlet on his radiator with a T-Bolt clamp, so strangely I agree on about everything you said, except for SURE/SU

UPDATE: here you are .... the Brand is Breeze, they make normal worm clamps but the ones I am refering to say....

All Stainless
Hi Torque
Breeze

you can get there here at amazon

Amazon.com: Breeze HTM-300L Super Heavy-Duty Hi-Torque Liner Series Clamp Effective Diameter Range: 2-1/4" - 3-1/8" (57mm - 79mm): AutomotiveAmazon.com: Breeze HTM-300L Super Heavy-Duty Hi-Torque Liner Series Clamp Effective Diameter Range: 2-1/4" - 3-1/8" (57mm - 79mm): Automotive

so as stated before this has nothing to do with SURE they are just where I bought mine as they are local for me and I had a long history with street unit before SURE ever existed when they were actually good.

these ones are very hard to strip unlike normal worm gear clamps and I would gadly bet money that they are overall superior. (for this application)

IF you really wanted something totally bullet proof you go v-band but then everything has to be an Exact fit and there is no flexibility and they are a bitch to install and remove.

the real problem with t bolt clamps is they never feel tight ...... you can sit there forever tightening, never really get the grip your looking for and simply break shit they are awful my cpe fmic came with tbolt clamps, they are all collecting dust in a bag somewhere if i havent sold them already and i bought these instead, they work so much better, the t bolt clamps will even SLIP off couplers! they legit will fall off, they are too smooth have no grip the band is too wide and they break shit ... so yeah you will never catch one of these on my car and whats worse an inch of the clamp doesnt even touch the surface for the entire circumference of the surface so part of it isnt even fucking clamped ...... so yeah fuck em they have more of a crushing effect then a circular clamp effect
