not the coolant lines just the oil feed line and the oil return line. It is highly recomended when you replace a k04 with cooked seals. The oil feed line especially gets gunked up with burnt oil and restrict the oil path. So lines with possible wider i.D woulld be great!

Well its a pain in the ass because the fitting you need that comes off of the block for the feed line is very non-standard. Ask John @ PTP performance because he had to make me one for my S256

I made drain line fittings for the Ko4 and the engine block so a -10 braided stainless hose could be used, but never tried them out, since I went to a ATP garret setup. I even made the nipples about 1.2 mm larger in hopes of letting the oil drain better, but this was before PTP came out with the solution to the PCV problem.....

The feed line on my 20K mile 08.5 GT does not have any problems at all with "gunk". Plus I've pulled apart 3 turbos now that supposedly had "cooked seals" and the seals are all within factory spec. Check the oil feed line out and show pics of the gunk if there is any. I would really like to see it because I doubt there is any.

Yeah, it's not the drain line itself that gets blocked, it's the pressure on the center cartridge that causes the oil/exhaust smoke issue.

Hopefully race roots has the solution

PTP's fix worked for me on my stock turbo that's been smoking for a year (since I got my TXS DP/RP combo). Almost makes me not want to put my damn SST in because it's been sooooo nice not smoking I just don't want to fuck with it right now.

I'll be upgrading my turbo to a reworked soon. I won't have to drain the oil to disconnect the feed/drain lines for the turbo, will I?

If you're that worried about them being gunked up (highly unlikely), take em off and clean them out. IT's pretty simple to do, though I wouldn't even think twice about ever doing that.

There's a few good how tos for installing turbos around here. You have to disconnect everything. Just make sure you clamp off your coolant lines so it doesn't spew out all over your engine bay. No worries about everything else.
