MS6 triple pod for people with Nav.

Got around and made a prototype of triple pod for the people that have factory Nav..

Also, it's come with wrinkle finish...

Does the air bags prevent us from having an A-pillar gauge pod? It may look better if it was a triangle or follow the A-pillar vs. going across the top of the dash. I'm just starting to see a rainbow of gauges that extends over the dash to the other side.

It's look better in person than in the picture. it doesn't obstruct the view and contour with the dash hood pretty well...

it could be done, i'm just doing a little research to make sure it sturdy and balance with all the gauges in there...
you don't want the pod and gauges to jump out everytime you going over the bump would you?

Tru dat. FWIW, I'm not opposed to having to run a screw in somewhere unnoticable where it wouldn't negatively effect look/function of anything. If there was somewhere down in the vent that it could work, I don't see any reason (other than not wanting to have to put a screw in my dash) why I couldn't do that. Don't know how other people would feel about it, but I'm just sayin'. Food for thought.

It doesn't rest on the dash ,it's connected to the vent and locked in by the metal clip..

I think its awesome. Granted it stays there. Looks like weight could tip it over. Not so sure how strong that clip is.

The wrinkle finish is cool but i like the looks of the single i have. The finish matches the other vent's perfect.

In the second pic it looks as though it would block some of the view. But it also looks as though the photo was taken at chest height while seated.

Once its finished you should grab a pic from 1st person perspective.

Other than AFR and EGT, i can't think of another vital to monitor.

You know what we need? A MS6 DH vent mount(Ive only ever seen them for the MS3's?). A dual pod with DH mount and 52mm guage pod... I would buy that in a heartbeat

Well yea, in your situation this is true. But remember you have the oil temperature, oil pressure, and boost in the middle of your dash. And there would be more gauges to have in my gen2 because, really, I pretty much only have fuel, a tachometer, and a speedometer. The digital boost gauge in the gen2 is useless as well so we may as well just say it doesn't have one. I would probably get a new boost gauge, oil temperature, oil pressure, and afr. So that's 4 I'd like to have, which would necessitate having another pod somewhere. If I could pull it off I'd probably get a triple pillar pod too and get a voltometer and a coolant temp gauge and have 6 gauges...because I like having too many gauges...lol

the clip is very strong even with 3 gauges

The flat black finish is standard, wrinkle is optional at no extra charge....

I would buy that too. Depending on what it looked like. I'm surprised it hasn't been done to be honest. Something just like the pod in the defrost vent but instead holds a dash hawk.

thats my only concern lol, but another seller has a pic with it installed, if you search mazdaspeed 6 gauge pod on ebay its the next listing. i dont see any fitment problems.

thats what im saying lol, i just dont have the use for it right now or i would have already got it before these gauges came out, but i like this option better if i ever need all them gauges. right now i think the most i will need is the double pod for boost and afr's and i really like the max evdm right now for water temp, oil temp, and oil pressure.. great options btw @Block8head.

This is what i currently use. The color and finish was off and the fitment is not good. But i went to work on it and made the best i could out of it.



If i could make that it would hold 60mm gauges possibly. A hood would be nice to, they can be hard to see at times. And the bottom goes straight down leaving what looks like a gap. It would follow the contour of the dash all the way down to the mutli-display and sit flush with it. And the finish would be exactly the same as the multi-display below it giving a factory appearance. And i would keep the price below 99 bucks.
