Mazdaspeed6 and Mishimoto J-Line Will it Fit?

I am trying to plan out a FMIC and shopping for a core. The Mishimoto J-Line has really caught my eye but not sure if it will fit. I know its thicker than ones others have used by .5". I really like this intercooler due the the centered endtanks and price. I have not had a chance to pull the cars nose of the measure so I was hoping maybe someone in the know might be able to give a yay or nay.

Another core I have considered is the Spearco 2-379 if you guys think its a better choice.

My front is apart as you speak, what measurements do you need?

In any case, I think you should be fine re: core thickness, we have lots of space under the crash bar, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Mainly just making sure either of those cores would fit. I am planning on cutting and possibly replacing the crash bar with tube steel.

Thickness is no problem, I have 4" thick core under my crash bar. Maximum hight that will fit under the crash bar without cutting the bar or the rad defuser is about 5.5"

zer010gic, thanks for the post! Feel free to contact us once you have measurements! How much power do you plan on making? We have seen J line intercoolers support up to 550whp!

Well my dreams are not quite that big. Mainly looking at 400whp when all said and done. I really like the design of the j-line and I read in a another thread that its spec'ed for less than 1 lbs pressure drop.
