Default Mixed Flow turbo.. CS?

As I continue to debate my turbo upgrade path I've been looking into wheel designs and such and from the pictures the CS appears to be a mixed flow whereas the BNR s3 appears to be radial? Can anyone more knowledgeable confirm this.

I think you are talking about the extended tips on the compressor wheel. Details are in the CS turbo white paper. BNR uses a basic cast wheel.

As far as I know the only mixed flow turbines available for our platform are used in the Borg Warner EFR turbos. Further, I think you're getting mixed up on mixed flow/extended tip. Mixed flow turbines are for the hot side, billet compressor wheels with extended tips are different animals altogether. From eyeballing the CS turbine, it looks like radial flow.

Handling: JBR .250 RSB w/ billet brackets.

So I can see/be seen better: DDM LED for Nagare Accent lights, DDM Switchbacks Front turn signals, Osram CBI's, ADVmonster LED Fogs

To-do List: BNR S4, maybe S5...bottom end build, probably should do brakes/suspension at some point. Shooting for a 450-500whp daily driver.

You're absolutely right. I misread the previous post- disregard the above.

MoM answered my question, you have better eyes than I. the hotside wheel was always in the background so I couldn't tell for sure. In the 2nd pic the bottom blade kinda looks angled, but that must be from the camera angle playing tricks. Zenit you were correct, on the first pic that's what I was referencing.

IS EFR across the lineup now? I thought originally they only had one of the series/sizes on a mixed flow wheel.

That's the CS turbine for reference (and probably the angled pic you're referring to) ^^

As far as I know, the only EFR for our application with mixed flow wheel is the 7163.
