Default My GodSpeed (type-C) FMIC Core..

Just arrived! Along with another little treat(picture at the end!)

So, as far as piping goes, I ordered a PG Black Powdered pipe kit to go along with my Core, but there were some shipping issues and I won't be getting those for another week(bigsadface)

But I figured I'd share some good pictures, I really like the build quality! I haven't been able to examine many other FMIC's up-close, but I can't imagine the quality being any better!

Dimensions:
core length 24"
core height 7.5"
core thickness 3"
inlet / outlet size 2.50"
end to end length 30"

Enjoy:

And, UPS brought me a little bonus today!

KMD Internals, 3rd Version, Oh BOY OH BOY!

I am not exactly sure how it happened but there was an issue with USP losing the kit? Or so I was told. And then when the 'new' kit was being shipped there were storm delays..

It's not the end of the world, just a small setback.

There were a few dings where the frame meets the fins. But the fins themselves are in perfect shape.

Can't wait for my PG Piping kit to come in..then I'll post install pictures.

thanks. FMIC install itself is more tedious than DP b.c you are always having tweak and adjust to get everything to fit properly...so ill say, YES.

my least fav installed, dp is second

More than the cx racing core?

I've heard some not so great things about the cx racing core. More specifically was the fact that ppls bats were just barely under what they were with the stock tmic. Resistance to heat soak was good as expected, but it didn't cool the air charge as much as say cobb or cp-e.

I've been looking into getting the cx piping kit and sourcing my own core. So feedback on specifics will help greatly....

^ +1. I have the core that came with the entire PG kit that they sold a while ago, core isn't very big, only 2.5 thick and not nearly as tall as this core. I've been wondering if it's worth getting a larger core or not.

Wow I'm looking at doing this exact same thing just wasn't sure what different cores would match up with PG piping.

I believe that cobb/cp-e/corksport use a 3" core. I'm not a fan of any of their piping, but I like their cores.
I'm anxious to see how the corksport w/sri piping will be routed. Also if it's going to be proprietary...

I'd love to try to frankenstein a turboxs core with the cx piping. Maybe connect the hot and cold side piping with silicone like cp-e...

A month now..which is obviously ridiculous, I've spoken with Ken@PG and we've got it straightened out this time (I hope) regardless, the kit better be fucking mint for the time I've waited.

He assures me I will be satisfied.

I'd like to see pics of the piping and how it runs...for the price of piecing this together you can't beat it.

The piping kit I was sourced when he ran out of his "regular" kits fit like a pile of shit. I havent heard to many bad things about the standard kit though.

I have a cx racing core and it works amazing. 90 degrees out and my bats will be ~110, compared to 130+ with tmic. Mine's 3.5" thick though, and so's my core.

I've been running a CX 28X7X2.5 on a PG kit now for more than a year.

Yep, bits and bobs showed up at various times for the piping kit but, all came eventually. Also, finish Q is not really a strong suit with the PG stuff but, I have had 0 problems with the kit, the install or the subsequent performance.

The core that comes with the MS3 kit is 2.5". Did you have to request the thicker core?

I got the altered customs kit, which uses cx cores and you get to choose the size.

I'll let you know first hand once I get my piping in, but from all the other threads-I've gathered that with just a couple of shelving brackets from home depot you can mount the IC quite easily.

TBD

Ya it was never a question having enough in stock. We've had shipping issues as well as some other minor obstacles, ultimately resulting in a long wait
