The odds of blowing motor with gt3071r?

Ok I was thinking about setting my sites on the gt3071r. If you keep your tune strict and boost 17-20psi with tons of meth you think its safe?

yeah ive seen that thread, Just look looking for info related to big turbo though. Im thinking about this or the Pg K04 any recommendations? My stock turbo is still great with know smoke I just thinking I would eventually like to upgrade.

Yeah, I'd say makes sure you have an EWG to keep it from creepin' on you, don't load her up too early, keep the meth pumpin' and you should be a happy man.

I wouldn't do it. From what I've seen, I wouldn't go any bigger than a GT28 @16 psi on stock internals (assuming EWG & Meth). I am a paranoid fucker, tho. I also like having my car on the street rather then in the shop, too.

haha if you want to know the real odds, you must find out how many MS3's there are that have upgraded to one of those turbos, then out of that you must find out how many have blown their motor, and thats your answer to what the odds are.

To be honest with you, if you do it right i think you'll be fine.

Yeah but how many of them had the knowlage or resources that we have now with tuning-meth, why and when these motors tend to blow? Are you taking that in to account?

True i'm thinking with a smart tune rich down low and agressive up top it would be ok . I'm not the guru of knowlage thats why I created this thread to see if anyone could give a decent reason for me to alter that view... a logical reason not just an assumption. Like for expample a good reason would be if alot of peaple with excellent tunes form 2000 rpm to 7,000rpm spraying meth all the way have blown.

Chances joe with the 3071 is slim with u... U drive worse than I do. Always flooring it everywhere. And a slim chance because u won't get it. Just like the dp u said u were getting almost a year ago. Not to be a dick but it's the truth

Yeah I drive pretty hard BUT I got my tune down thats much better than driving with out a good tune...lol and whos to say a dp isnt luring on it way to my place soon..lol
