Default Oil return line options?

When my number 3 rod exited my block, it happened to take out my oil return line. Should I just replace with OEM, or should I go a different route? Also I plan on upgrading to a beaner next spring, if that even matters...

I think most of the info you are looking for is here:
Big Turbo Oil and Coolant Line How-To

I am going to use -10AN push lock hose and push lock fittings.
(you'll need one straight and 1 90*)

802ms3 and njspeed3 brought these fittings to my attention (gasket-less o-ring design)
EFR & Garrett GT Oil Drain Return Flange, -10AN- TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE

@btstarcher; forgot to mention... that is a pretty high heat area, so you will also want to cover that line with a strong heat reflective sleeving.

After re-reading the thread on my computer, does the information hold true for the stock turbo? I saw somewhere that the OEM oil return line had a restrictor built-in; should I just go with an OEM line? I'm so confused....

The drain / return line doesn't need a restrictor etc. and for the BNR's bearing system, will not need a restrictor (on the feed line).

The BNR is 100% plug and play.

LOL 2nd reading fail of the day. He was referring to the oild feed line, not the return. It makes sense now; why the fuck would you want to restrict the return line? I'm on a roll today.

Are you talking about the return line? I was just talking to someone about this the other day and they had said they had never seen anyone do it.

I have a braided SS line so I'm less concerned..but god do I love heat shielding LOL

I'm just curious if you are in fact talking about the return line and secondly who's running what for heat protection.

We are 100% on the same page (return line).

I think that all premade return lines are SS braided so they are pretty tough.

If using something rubber like the push lock, I would use something like this:
Heat Shroud 010405 | Purchase DEI, CryO2, Ny-Trex, Boom Mat & SPA Turbo Products | Design Engineering, Inc. - Thermal Performance Products
