| Not Ranked : 0 score You get essentially the same effect as going to a larger MAF housing(with the same tuning required to compensate for the different airflow readings), and you can safely VTA your blow off valve..

Or you can peice one together using an ebay maf housing for a subaru, a filter, some clamps, and a coupler for about half the $$$. I think the housing itself is like $90, then the filter, coupler, and clamps are cheap. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score You won't regret it. Slapping a filter right on the turbo w/o any piping is going to be a big improvement imo. Yeah, it's hotter air, but the spool-up should take no time at all. My ic can deffinately handle the higher temps as well. I think it's probly still the best one on any of these motors. My only flow restrictions left are the IM, TB, and the head. I'll have to get my fuel system finished before I touch either of those though. Then I can really see if the stock block can handle ~400hp. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Nice work on relocating the MAF. I saw you don't have an AP, which is too bad. Do you log with a DH then? I look forward to seeing some WOT logs, and how well your ECU hits your target WOT afrs. Good luck with finishing it up. I was thinking it may be a problem with the AP if the output voltages were higher. That is, if the aftermarket MAF went from 0-6 or 7 volts instead of 0-5. That might screw you. If it went from 0-4 volts, you could just scale it. I think they're the same though, right? Do all MAFs go from 0-5v?

Is it identical to our stock MAF with longer wires, or did he cut it open, and just extend them? I don't see the stock one reaching over that far, but then again I never tried. Do you know if all MAF's run voltages from 0-5?
