(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Ok so I finished putting my motor back together and now there is a massive engine cut out when I give it any kind of hard gas (above half throttle) I can go into boost but I noticed with the accessport it's hitting 22.93 when it cuts. And it cuts hard. So it's deffinitly over boosting some how. Here is my mod list. Forged eagle rods Wiseco pistons CDFP TIH CAI TBE Accessport stage 2 Stiffy Torque Damper FTG ko422-582 upgradedTurbo Balance shaft delete Any help would be appreciated |

| Not Ranked : 0 score So, you have a turbo from a CX7? And upgraded it? I'd post a log, see what WGDC is doing. Also see if the WG actuator is moving.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yea I will post some logs, but it was doing the exact same thing when it blew up about a month ago with 140,000 miles on it. It surged really hard and bent a rod, really don't want to do that again. I'll check the waste gate again, but yea I agree I kind messed up on the turbo when I bought it, it's a bigger inducer/exducers but the exhaust side is a tad smaller. Didn't do my research hard enough (like an idiot) and accidentally bought a 582 and not an 881 . Maybe waste gate solinoid? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Make sure the EBCS is connected properly. If it is, and you're still spiking, it wouldn't hurt to get another one and try it out, just to be safe.

| Post some logs. It's all rather hard to diagnose without quantifiable data to look at.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'll post some logs at lunch, but I would really rather not hit the cut again. It's fairly violent, I'm on Cobb stage 2 tune and I know for a fact that the boost targets are not 22.93 psi lol |

Now that it's considerable warmer today, you may not hit the cut. TIS

| Not Ranked : 0 score Stock MAP sensor? Probably going higher than 22 and not being able to read it. EBCS is probably cracked or hooked up wrong. |

| Also, if you're running an upgraded turbo, you probably can't (safely) run any OTS map.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score True, thanks for the info!! ^ also just for some of the readers.... I guarantee this was broken and what caused my motor to blow up last month, thank god that this time I had forged internals. And for the love of God get a boost gauge so you can see this happening. If I would have had one my motor would not have blown. But I guess it's kinda a good thing because I'm built now mechanics life for me. #teamstaydirty |
