Default PG FMIC piping kit with CXRACING core

well i took a plunge on the pg piping kit. After selling my ap i was on a mission to get bats down affordably. The pipes arrived overnighted, because we had a slight bump but got to me in about the same time as ground from PG headquarters. Powdercoat was beautiful and pipes are well bent with no marks and bead rolled. one pipe end is not and ken had stated it was cause of the radius... well he is right after doing the install i see what he meant but that posed no threat with the provided tbolts he threw in for the delay. fitment is tight. tight in that it wont be goin anywhere and it took me a couple tries playing with the couplers and orientation but it is sold and doesnt bobble or droop. ken threw in a free mounting bracket and its tough like lenny tough. was fun to get on but once its there its golden. only other hiccup i had is that my cold side coupler off the intercooler is touching the fog lamp pushing the bumper down, but if you look at it in the pic its more a error of me not playing with couplers enough.

oddly here is the pipe that doesnt have a bead roll on one edge. looks odd but when you do the install you see why and its no problem.

ok finished her up... only hitch i have is the cold side coupler coming off the intercooler is hitting the bumper slightly(my fault didnt adjust enough, you can see it in the pics), so its making the fender gap a hair bigger. too tired to fix it and the car will be getting dropped off for a month so i will attend to it later. fits tight, alot of playing with pipes for me but hey, i took her for a wot spin and no pipes popping couplers. felt strong, didnt notice turbo lag, the bpv is louder. all in all it looks good fits great if i can get that damn foglight to clear(shouldnt be too hard) and was a great price. very happy.

You can add a ghetto bead roll with a wire crimper. There are how to's all over the place. My FMIC piping was all done that way. It works fine and my pipes are never coming apart...

Is that the mazda 3 mods fmic kit?

My local ms3 friend pre payed for that shit and waited a century and the guy who made the kits claimed the whole time he was waiting for parts to arrive to assemble the kit.

I installed my pg kit today and it was a really tight fit. I had to bend the sensor in the grill of the bumper and cutting the recirculating hose was really ghetto. I had alot of problems trying to get this kit, they sent me one that wasn't painted so I had to wait a week just to get one painted. With the first and my second kit they forgot to send the bracket, so right now my intercooler is just sitting on the bottom of the bumper. Can't believe how long the kit took to be done. Got it a month after the scheduled ship date. The pipes looked like they used only one coat which a couple places were sprayed thin and could still see the aluminum. I paid 650 for my kit, I could definetly tell the difference with the hp/tq. Still need to experiment with the forge bpv springs and shims. Not running well with the blue w/ 2 shim

Delivered at 10:34 am per my tracking?

You shouldn't need a beadroll on that pipe with your free tbolts. The ambient temp sensor has to be relocated, and the "air directors" need to be removed. You shouldnt have any fitment problems

Had the intercooler and pipes 2 weeks before the couplers ever got shipped though..only downfall (dropshipper forgot my order)..All you have to do with the sensor is take the 90 degree bend of the sensor bracket and make it straight.. No longer in the way...I'm still missing my elbow and pipe did have a messed up end from the bead roller but I haven't shown it to cause a problem. I'm just going to try to bend it back up. Was an extremely tight fit but everything works great!!! I didn't by their core though or bracket. Also notice the kink in the last picture attached...Ken said all that was needed is to adjust from the inlet side to fit better. Still looking for the elbow and going to be buying a new recirculation hose so I don't have to cut stock hose...

but only paid $400 for the whole thing right now...upgrading to tbolts soon..GREAT product for the money, can't beat it!! Ken responds to PM's within a day and tries to help as much as he can! Definitely recommend..The waiting and delays are just part of being the first ones in a GB on a new product.

Nice looking skeeter. I kind of did the same but with red couplers. Where did you get that hose to replace you recirculation hose? I hate the look of my cut hose and a pvc elbow in there. I would like just one hose. Sorry for the cell pic.

i got it from aaronc7, he had some laying around. it is samco superflex hose iirc. it was a bitch to bend but it has a metal coil through it that keeps it from colapsing. is your driver fog light hitting the cold side long coupler? mine is and it pushes the bumper forward ever so slightly. when it getsback or if i run into a delay i will fix it. i hope.

Oh ok I'll trying looking around locally for something like that. Mine does hit the driver side fog light to where there is a tiny tiny gap and also pushing my hid bulb up a little to where my fogs are not even when turned on. One of these days I'm gonna take the bumper off again and try better to make it fit.

Not running well with the blue w/ 2 shim
weird...

my kit came in and was perfect. good communication on progress and frequent updates. not sure why you complain about cutting the recerc hose or not using the bracket because i chose not to use mine and the thing does NOT move at all! In fact theis kid was designed w/o a bracket.

waiting is all part of the group buy experience man...ask anyone. its the trade off for the discounted pricing!

dj thom maybe i should try it without the bracket. it would allow the bumper to move the bracket and allow everything to naturally sit however it wants... cool that is what i will try.

i had a ets sold it. went like 5 months without then went to this. i didnt notice lag and i think throttle response actually felt better with this over stocker(cant remember with ets). but if you like do it worth it it is.

Well I took my bumper to check some things and noticed mine does go ABOVE the power steering lines. I tried switching it under but I noticed it pulled my pipes over the engine down and the top coupler was touching the intake mani so I switched it back bc it seems to put less stress on the pipes and the power steering lines seem fineand aren't bent in any way. I just can't get my greddy type s to make it's whistle, sounds like either an RS or compressor surge no matter how I adjust it.

hmmm.... maybe I want to leave it there then. My top pipe is pretty close to touching where the intake breather hose connects. it the angle gets lower it will be a hard rub for sure. Thanks jay32m

Too bad I kept my ducting in and it is rubbing on the s-pipe up top. I am going to see if I can find some High temp foam tape.
