(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score basically i have installed a sure aeros and pg tip. I just bought a test pipe on a whim for my 6 I plan on ap and full bolt ons and seeing if im satisfied with how fast the car is... should I upgrade the fuel pump before I install the pipe? and some of what I read even has me worried I should have a pump on already with a tip..... i was reading a post by cobb saying the order for upgrades should me an intake+ ap then a cpfp and tip, then exhaust, intercooler blah blah I know I need a fuel pump and ap before the downpipe, but is a test pipe really gonna affect more than sound anyway? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score you are removing a cat, and therefor removing restriction...no matter how small, flow will be better i ran a SRI and TP for 1.5 years before upgrading my pump BUT! i bought a DH first thing and was continually logging there is no easy answer here, common community knowledge would tell you fuel pump should be one of the first damn things you buy i would personally test the waters with minor mods (read not DP) before hopping onto the pump BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE MONITORING, which it doesnt seem you currently do if i were you i would look for a DH or get the AP now |

| Not Ranked : 0 score because i spent about 10k on FULL bolt ons and AP with tune and shit even tried standback as well and I could not walk a stock speed(stock was intake and downpipe) I was tuned to more boost and had the fuel pump and everything but we were nose to nose all the way to 155MPH no matter what i DID, he had stock tune it was a fucking slap in the face. the truth is the stock turbo is the problem and even tuned to higher boost i could not take him like i should have he actually dyno higher then i did. was the worst 1 year of my life trying to take him out. as soon as i went Garrett turbo I fucked his ass up big time. and I feel with any kind of garrett turbo, ap and fuel pump just those items youll fuck up fully bolted kids with stock turbo guaranteed. |

my car makes most power 5500+ i burnt 2 stock turbos to a crisp and most those guys making power are on e85 that does not count ... its not available here in Tampa ATR was not available when i was trying to beat my friend and that was the biggest problem back then AP is 800% more useful then it was before. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score 25 is not possible on the turbos i used, completely not possible. maybe with everything stock, but toss in fmic and full intake etc. i dont think you can. i was fully fully bolted the turbo was being ass raped trying to hold 20 psi it could not even do 20 without tapering off. and also 320 is not impressive thats just about what has always been possible with stock turbo i thought your claiming more like 360 thats guy i was competing with fucking dyno 280 with stock tune ... his car was a unicorn im tellin you . |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I think guys are finding out that the trick to making very good and extended "up top" power on the K04 and pump gas is to raise boost and load cap down low, keep AFR's on the rich side, do not exceed 17-18 psi by 6,000 rpm, taper it to 14-15 after that, but crank up timing aggressively at high rpm. That keeps you within the efficiency range of the turbo. The rich AFR provides cylinder cooling to keep EGT's and KR under control, and the cranked up timing does the trick. Limits are still in the 310-320 whp range (safely) but that ain't bad and is considerably better than a stock ECU bolted car. Not big turbo by any means, but you'd be surprised.
