Default Questions about TBE and Intakes

Hey guys I'm new to the ms3 i'm about to be getting one and trading in my supercharged scion tc its too slow lol but i hear how people say you need a tune if you put on a tbe and intake or no? IMO i don't think its necessary but i'm not experienced with turbos I want to be safe cause its gonna be my daily driver I just want a nice growl and 300hp at least. I just worry cause people talk about blowing their motor with just these simple bolt ons so let me know. thanks guys

well you dont need a tune but it is beneficial, a motor mount and fuel pup internals are also recommended to be on the safe side as far as fueling goes and a mount because stock one sucks

your not gonna have 300hp with a intake and a tbe either. prob more like 260-270

I have the CPE CAI, CPE TBE, RPMC inlet, HKS SSQV and SU mount. All things together I made 268WHP and 290WTQ just last weekend, on 94 octane local fuel.

I tune would be great though as my A/F had dropped below 10:1 by 5000rpm and were under 12:1 by 4000RPM.

Nice. New intercooler and tune, and you'll be looking pretty good.

ok so if i do decide to do a tune on a tbe what would i use? cobb accessport? sorry i'm a noob when it comes to ms3 and turbos

either the accessport or the CP-e Standback. People like both so just research and see what you like best. The accessport may be easier to use!

would it be ok to put on the tbe and no tune and get a tune later? Will i experience any problems.

oh and i would have a 2009 so doesnt the cobb accessport not work yet? can i just put on the tbe and wait it out till i get some more money to buy it or would it not be smart to run tbe with no tune?
