(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The housing thats on it now has a .50 A/R and I'm not so sure what A/R I should get. what are your opinions on the A/R I should go with? a .50 is just not for me but would you gizzards think a .60 or .70 A/R would be best for me?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Do you mean turbine AR? The AR. of the compressor housing isn't near as important.. If your talking about the turbine AR, what are your HP goals? The smaller the AR. the faster your spool, but you lower the peak HP potential... That said, even with a .50 AR you should be able to hit 400~450 with the gt35, and you'll spool a few hundred rpms faster than I do with my .83 AR tubine...

| Not Ranked : 0 score Go with the .63 or .82 I would probably lean towards the .63 if your HP goals are in the upper 400s. It will give a slight spool advantage of the .82. The .82 is more towards the 500-525 range. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score The compressor size isn't all that important. The 70 is what I had but like I said the turbine is what matters most. You should focus on switching your turbine housing. That is what will make a diff. |

I have a .70 a compressor housing, only because it was what the 4" inlet housing came with..

| Not Ranked : 0 score The .70 A/R is the "proper" compressor housing for a GT35R. As far as turbine A/R, the .63 A/R is capable of around 600 whp in two wheel drive applications if you've got a setup capable of the amount of boost that a GT35R is capable of. That rules out all Mazdaspeeds at the moment. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'm changing the compressor housing cause it came with a 3inch inlet and I already have a 4inch Cpe tip so it must be done. I'll get the .70 housing juss cause bigger is better when I build the motor in a year and I have money saved to change the turbine to a t3 .63 A/R I'll then also change the turbo to manifold flange..... This shit been sitting in my apt for a while now so it's goin on

i'm using the medievil manifold which does use oem placement. I know you said you got the .70 A/R housing so I assume your mani doesn't have oem placement? why does it not fit and could I do anything to make it fit? shave any metal? cut a huge hole somewhere? lol if the .70 doesnt fit does the .60?

I don't know of anyone who has made the standard gt35 compressor housing work in the OEM location, so I have no idea what would be involved trying to make it work...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score i just don't understand why the .70 wouldnt fit? it's not so much bigger then the .50 and what would you say is "blocking" it from fitting? the valve cover? wires? you sure ATP made the compressor housing a .50 cause of the clearence or was it the hot side they made so small so it would fit? who has tried this and what was the prob>? and SS you get my payment homie?

he said to email them for the 20th time..so I will i'm thinking tho...maybe bring my mani anywhere they can heat it up and maybe pull the turbo flange away from the block a lil bit? SUPERSKATE, you said with the .60 A/R you had to monkey that cosby in place and that there was hardly 1/4 inch of room..what about on the other side of the compressor? how much room from that side of the compressor to the firewall? maybe a lil bit of bending will do the trick. another thing..and I really do see what ppl are talking about is...my medievil mani how every damn mani they made was different from the warping to the actual cut of the head flange to the tube distance and diameter. so maybe although it is an OEM turbo placement design they were a bunch of fuck tards and nothing was the same I.E. the distance from the turbo flange to the actual cyl head block. I WANT ME A .70 godd damn it.. WHAT A WIN BOAT I HAVE...love my car@!!!!!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Finally something interesting to read! The proper thing to do is getting your mani and dp sized for the turbo you want to run but what do i know im just a plumber. Fitment is key take Socks car for instance, we saw what a slight fitment issue can do to such a nice set up. |

I have a CPE 4 inch TIP.......I want a .60 A/R compressor housing (as ATP says is ok) with 4 inch anti surge (bullet hole type-machined) inlet NON polished (me like to pant) and for the reason why I am not going to change my hot side JUST YET is because if I did that I would then have to hack up my beautiful manifold and have a t3 flange welded on. plus I just dented my rim so bad a few hours ago there is a huge triangle chunk missing and now it doesn't hold air =( my tires were about fucked anyway. I just ordered new rims and tires so now i'm gonna have to wait just a lil bit longer to get my new compressor housing. I WILL change my hot side over to t3 .63 A/R when I build the motor. If you remember what I wrote to you saying that I want near 400 awhp for now cause I'm on oem internals...I don't want to push it that hard. An ATP hot side will do for my power goal until I build the motor. I have 55k on the motor now, nearing 100k I'll rebuild the motor. ty for the concern but as of now all i'm worried about is driving on a damn donut for a week in the fresh snow and getting me a new sexxxy 4 inch, anti surge compressor housing .60 A/R =( i'm gonna go sulk over my rim =(

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score superskates pics of your turbo installed please..i wanna see what the .60 A/R comp housing looks like near the block. I found a used 35r .70 A/R comp housing for 150 but i don't wanna rush and buy it knowing that at least on the stock manifold the .70 won't fit. as stated before I have a Medievil manifold and I may not even run into any problems using a .70 A/R comp housing as a stock mani guy would.
