Is that because I'm not a vendor nutswinger or one of the other random "awesome manifold !!" etc etc... I have said it was a good manifold in multiple posts, hell, even in another thread. But OK.

This has everything to do with your manifold.
I would hate to see production stop because not enough people want to purchase, resulting in a higher price.

I wonder why they wouldn't want to spend 900 dollars on a manifold... HRMMM see above post.

IMO releasing your "fix" thats up your sleeve first would be smarter. If the consumer knows his motor is solid, hes gonna buy your shit up. Plain and simple.

I want this manifold to stay cheap, and you want people to buy it.
I don't need you to swing on my nuts, I have my girl for that. You are talking to us like we don't know about the issues, we are well aware of them. I however need you to get off my back. When shit goes south you are welcome to be there so please take a step back.

The "trick" isnt ready for release, we don't release because it is not 100% ready. And it is not a "trick" it is something that hasn't been addressed or thought about.

Thank you for the breathing room.

scatt man..just give them room. you are really the only one going off like this. just chillax mane.

i dont want Race Roots or any other vendor to start second guessing whether they should make a product for our platform b/c we act like impatient and ungreatful little bitches. mind you...they are the ones doing that hard work, not us.

so respectfully give them the space they deserved. i understand your frustations but them wasting their time making a product thats ultimately going to be apart of the problem isnt going to do them any good.

again, i cant see them investing their time and effort creating a complete packaged product if motors are going to be blowing up left and right...that doesnt benefit them at all

being well aware of it...and still coming out with a upgraded power system like this is very cool indeed and EVERYONE here i am sure is grateful...i am sure you also realize that once the " fix or problem" with this platform is figured out EXACTLY than a system like you are coming out with will do very very well...i really hope for you and this community that it gets worked out SOON...for all your R&D and time and such a beautiful system it really should succeed. and be on lots of members cars here.. for all of the MazdaSpeed enthusiasts it will be a day to rejoice and all our hard earned money that we put into this platform will not be in vein....and we can enjoy the POWER and not worry.....but driver error is another story...no one can control that but he driver...and we can deal with that..

I think the temp sensor relocate was pretty damn ingenious, hopefully you guys can hash out this engines problems and get a big hp car on the track that doesnt have a shorted battery cable or a worn out clutch.

If I could guarantee my motor was solid I would rock the RR setup for sure

You guys need to get your website up so I have something to drool over.

Thank you, we actually have something else that you will think is flat out ingenious as well.

Buy our products! It supports us and our R&D development. The TB spacer is a perfect example!

Very true. For once I would like to hear a Mazdaspeed owner post in the blown motor thread saying "Well guys, looks like today it was time. After a year of making 500whp on stock internals she finally gave."

as opposed to "WTF I just shifted from second to third about 3k rpm and BOOM"

Sad to say, But I think the first blown motor story is actually a good one.

The manifold looks awesome, but I have to agree with Scott here. Unless I know there is a fix for the motor issues, I am won't go beyond simple bolt-ons. I have heard about so many people blowing up from this site, other sites, and even a few locals who I don't see posting on any sites.

When I had my SRT-4, I didn't hesitate one minute when I threw on a manifold and a 3076R. The motor was proven to 500hp on stock internals. Hell, I even ran the stock clutch on that turbo for a year and it took it everyday without a hiccup. Like Scott said, as soon as someone figures out the issues with the motor, then you will get more high dollar sales like the manifolds and turbos.

I completely agree with this. I also had an SRT-4 and didn't hesitate one bit from slapping a 50 trim on there. Car made 346whp and 382ft/lbs on stock injectors for 6 months. I then traded in because I then realized that it broke more than it ran. I will do this as soon some of the issues get fixed as well

But like people have been sayin once and if you guys can figure these motors out and stop em from poppin for shit reasons i will be all over this. Sure who needs a 400+ whp dd but damnit i want it without the cost of goin forged! Once again thanks alot for puttin in the effort

i know it may be too soon, but i definitely think that race roots deserves a HUGE round of applause at this point, not only for engineering some awesome parts, but for dealing with scatts shit as well!

i just hope that everything works out in the end, i really want to keep this car. but with the way things are going now, i wont be keeping it for much longer. race roots needs to change my mind.

After all the shady vendors and bullshit hard parts that everyone already has or has available to them, its nice to see a company taking us seriously and building quality shit, nothing against whats out there now, but theres two levels of quality, the lower budget less engineered kind and the companies like ams, full race and from what ive seen race roots for example that build shit right, the first time.

Sure we cant get over 350 right now but for fwd it aint bad, at least were starting to get some real quality shit and some real solutions.

Anywhere from $650-$750 if we mass produce it.

If I can get at least 10 pre-orders pre-paid I will do the $650 price. There will be a 30 day delay for production purposes of course. Then the price will go to $750

That is of course we can get 10 pre-orders in though

So time will tell
Are you really anticipating that many people will source their own custom DP? I'm not seeing the point of releasing manifold-only pricing when most people won't have an option other than having you make them one. And the fact that a custom DP is required to work with your manifold needs more emphasis, IMO.

There are local machine shops in every tri-state area and you can take it to a local fabricator. We are offering it as a complete kit as well as Manifold/DP combo as well to make it easier for the customer.

We really want this sold as a complete kit to make life easier for the customer.

So what are these adapter plates you are talking about? I am curious to see what these will look like. Why not just let the customer choose and weld on whatever they desire or does the collector have to be redesigned?

I second that. If I ever upgrade the turbo, that's the direction I'm taking.

More work basically having to have multiple manifolds on hand, also the benefit if you decide one day to go to a T4 all you have to do is take off the adapter plate.

Smarter for us and you, reduces cost in inventory for having 50 of this manifold 50 of that one and so forth.

All you need to do is add the adapter plate which makes it easier to change turbo styles if desired.

Piping was completed this past weekend we should have pics up in a few days.

Right now? Umm, about the same as a GT40 on a built motor.. or a 3071 for that matter..

If we don't know how much power we are losing and why...how would you expect them to know what your going to put out...

So we have completed our kit with all piping and FMIC and everything else, we will be driving the car later today to being some street tuning and get a feel of the car.

We have actually decided since it seems that most on the board have a SRI preference we actually designed the kit to have a SRI with a Cold Air Box, that will have a fresh air duct to get the best of both worlds.

Pictures to follow either later today or tomorrow most likely.
