(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Re-flanging a manifold I had my PGv3 re-flanged today to a DSM flange (to match my turbo). The DSM flange is wider and as a result, the opening on the flange isn't fully utilized... It looks like shit, but I'm told it isn't a big deal since the original manifold would have flowed out the smaller opening anyway. Anyone know if this is going to be a big deal? Technically I think the exhaust shop was right, it's exiting out the same tubes, so it shouldn't matter... it just looks like crap if you look up the flange... Stand by for pic... Going out to take a shot.

| Not Ranked : 0 score ill try and find some pics of my manifold reflange and send um to ya.... like this smooth and stuff so the air doesnt get hung up on itself and fucks ur flow. if u feel in side this lip it is polished down to a nice curve with no sharp edges. it also was opened up to meet with the size of the new flange not just welded on and stuff. those welds on urs looks a bit fishy and i dont think they will hold to the heat of the mani.....

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'll grab a photo of the other side when I go out later. It looks completely normal... They inserted the tubes right in the hole of the new flange and welded around it... Looks very normal until you look at the under side....

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Manifold was the standard PG v3 ... whatever that costs? $500? I'm using a Forced Performance HTA turbo, so I got the matching flange, $43.50 + 7cm multilayer gasket for $20. The hacked up weld job cost $45CDN and 20 minutes. :/
